Author Rights Agency creates an effective literary bridge between USA and Europe. Based in Dublin, with its strong tradition for creative writing and its deep historical links with America, and in Paris, a major European and world cultural, business and literary centre, this agency has well-established connections throughout the world.

We connect authors and their creative works directly to the world of book publishing and other media (newspapers, magazines, audio, TV & film, broadcast, electronic publishing), selling, on their behalf, rights of all kinds in their original language and in translation.

We currently concentrate on creative fiction and non-fiction of literary quality in many forms: literary fiction (contemporary and historical subjects), crime and ‘noir’, women’s fiction, non-fiction with a universal interest.

Our focus initially is representing Irish, British and American writers to the world market. We also represent publishers and agents for French and Russian translation rights.

 

Svetlana Pironko, Director

An experienced international agent, formerly an associate of Lora Fountain & Associates Literary Agency in Paris, with a deep knowledge of selling rights all over the world, with personal contacts with the English-speaking publishing world. She has direct experience of working with creative writers, publishers, editors, agents and scouts in many international markets and languages. She speaks fluent English, French, her native Russian and has working knowledge of Italian. She studied literature in Russia achieving first class university honours. For ten years, she was an interpreter and translator working in Paris for major international organisations and businesses. Her life-long love of books laid the foundation for her entry into the world of publishing where she effectively uses her knowledge of literature as well as her skills and experience in international business and translation.
